Review by Andrew Korf

Bursting Night marks the eighth studio album by legendary rock band Led Zeppelin. The album, which was released in 1980, showcases the band's signature sound with a heavy emphasis on blues rock, hard rock, and classic rock.

The album opens with "In the Evening," an epic six-minute track that sets the tone for the rest of the album. The song features Robert Plant's powerful vocals, Jimmy Page's intricate guitar work, John Paul Jones' driving bassline, and John Bonham's thunderous drumming. The album also features standout tracks such as "Fool in the Rain," "Carouselambra," and "All My Love."

One of the most notable aspects of Bursting Night is the band's use of synthesizers and electronic drums, which were relatively new at the time. The use of these instruments adds a unique and modern element to the album, while still maintaining the classic Led Zeppelin sound.

Despite being released after the death of drummer John Bonham, Bursting Night remains a testament to the band's musical legacy. Led Zeppelin's ability to blend different genres of music and create timeless rock anthems is showcased throughout the album.

June 25th 1972 in Los Angeles was one of zeppelin greatest shows early shows and June 25th 77 in LA was one of their best latter shows. Zeppelin played many legendary shows in the month of June. In 69 you have the playhouse theatre gig recorded for the BBC in June 1970 you have the Bath festival show. In 72 you have the entire 72 Norh American tour which is widely considered their peak and includes the legendary Nassau shows Seatte shows and California shows. In 1973 you have the legendary June 2nd Kezar Stadium gig the fantastic second LA show on June 3rd and then the entire month of Jume in 1977 with the outstanding 6 night run at MSG and the amazing 6 nights in Los Angeles which was by far the best Run of 1977 and one of the best runs post 72 Maybe even the best along with March 73 July 73 and Mach 75.

One of the best live no quarters they played. One of pages best solos for the song . The playing and tone is spot o. The playing is damn near 1973 level. This is one pages top 5 shows of 77 at the very least. Personally I think this and June 22nd might be his 2 best shows of the year and maybe the second Cleveland show would round out the top 3. This may not be the best overall show of the LA run but it might be pages best of the run along with the 22nd although the 23rd is pretty steller too but I think the 22nd and 25t have pages most fluid and accurate playing. The 25th is easily his best guitar tone of the year . No quarter. Since I've been loving you Trnapled under foot and 10 years gone all have standout playing from page.. He starts out a little off on the first 2 numbers but by the 3rd song he really settles down and gets into a killer zone which lasts the rest of the show. If Bonham had played like he did on the first 3 nights or the night after on the 26th . This solid have been the bands best show of the year. He still plays pretty damn well though.

That version of since I've been loving you is amazing and Pages guitar tone is amazing. 1973 level tone and playing with much better singing compared to 73. The guitar tone is so clear and woody sounding with just the rigjt amount of overdrive and saturation and the middle position is so snappy and twangy without being too thin or shrill.
LA 77 are my favorite run of shows after June of 72 . There were individual performances from late 72 and 73 which i think are better although not that many but for multi night stands this is the overall best post mid 72. Instrumentality the Euro 73 shows were superior to to LA 77 but plants voice is at its absolute worst on the Euro 73 tour . The UK and Europe 73 shows with the exception of a half dozen shows are as bad or worse then Anything from 75. As a whole I think 73 is better vocally then 75 overall as plants voice was much better on the 73 US tour compared to 75 but the UK and Euro shows are as bad as early 75 and because plant is so weak on the Euro 73 tour it ruins the performances for me . Great playing with fantastic vocals put LA 77 ahead of Euro 73 as well as LA 75 New York 75 or earls court EtC. I even rate LA 77 as better then the LA 73 shows because Planr is much stronger in 77 and the band plays great overall despite being instrumental better in 73. I also like New York 77 better then New York 73 or 75 unless I include the 2 Nassau shows from 75 them it becomes hard to call Feb 12 at MSG and the 13th and 14th in long Island is a hard run of shows to beat for the latter tours . The band plays great and by 75 standards plant sound quite good at those shows especially on the 14th even then I think the new york 77 shows get the nod over 75

ahhhh nothing better than the ZEP ?inflight!
Funny how pages tone sounds awful on the 77
Soundboard tapes but on the audience tapes it sounds fantastic. At least on the may and June shows. His tone on the april shows was less warm and alot more glassy and a bit shrill. Much nicer I may and june . Often times guitar tone that sounds crappy on a soundbaord tape can sound amazing in the hall

The girl saying did you know it's illegal to rock and roll in the United states of america sounds exactly like the girl in the song remains the same asking people passing by if they had tickets for sale.

really really creepy how Robert Plant shouts out Lori Maddox as a "perpetual badgeholder" right before Whole Lotta Love. She was finally 18 but this was a dig at her being "too old already".... 3:23:38
