Fermáta's self-titled album is a tour-de-force of progressive rock and jazz fusion. The band's virtuosic musicianship is on full display throughout the album's eight tracks, which showcase their ability to seamlessly blend complex rhythms and harmonies with catchy melodies and memorable hooks.

From the driving opener "Simile" to the epic closer "Elegy," Fermáta keeps the listener engaged with a wide variety of musical textures and moods. The band's use of unconventional instruments such as the vibraphone and marimba adds an extra layer of interest to their sound, while their tight ensemble playing and intricate arrangements demonstrate their technical prowess.

Standout tracks include the funky "Hráč," the atmospheric "Impressions," and the bombastic "Trio," which features a blistering guitar solo by leader and composer Tomáš Berka. The album's overall sound is clean and polished, thanks to the expert production of Milan Vašica.
